The Lion loop indicator sign from Connevans is the perfect companion for hearing aid loops in public places. Serving a dual purpose, the Lion is both a test device, assuring your staff that the loop is working and also an advertisement to your customers that you have an induction loop that is active and available for use.
A visible positive sign for an invisible
disability.
The Lion Intelligent Loop Indicator Sign gives clear visual
assurance that the hearing loop system has been turned on and is
connected to the sound system - hearing aid users don't want to
wait until the start of a presentation or performance to find out
that the 'T' loop is not connected!
The Lion,
an intelligent illuminated wall sign, uses digital
signal processing to
monitor the hearing aid induction loop signal in a
public place such as a cinema, theatre, church or conference room
and will light up when the loop is working.
When the sign glows green, hearing aid users can have confidence
that they will be able to hear the performance or presentation
using the loop program on their hearing aids (sometimes known as a
'T' setting).
The Lion builds confidence in using your loop system -
saving staff time and customer queries. Plus, it
helps promote the fact that you have a loop installed and will
encourage hearing aid users to benefit from your system.
Meeting the Equality Act requirements for
providing accessibility for people with disabilities is an
important part of any venue's remit. Induction hearing loops for
hearing aid users are one of the facilities that are expected to be
installed and working. (Connevans note: unfortunately it is not
unusual for a public induction loop to be turned off or faulty,
unbeknown to the venue staff). It is common practice for venues to
perform a sound check before people arrive, if only a quick
'testing, testing 1, 2, 3'. If you also have a Lion installed, your
sound check will
automatically trigger the Lion as a test of the
induction loop.
Once turned on by the loop signal, the Lion will stay lit as long
as there is sound being broadcast. Additionally, after the sound
system goes quiet, the Lion will stay lit for your selected hold
time period - typically half an hour, in order to remain on while
people are taking their seats or during an interval or coffee break
- since the sign should remain illuminated during that time,
otherwise people might think the loop has been turned off.
Easy to install using the 2 keyhole wall mounting slots on the
back and USB power supply, the Lion is a 'set and forget' solution.
Individual controls allow you to adjust the brightness, sensitivity
and hold time.
Perfect for use in public places such as theatres,
churches, cinemas, museums and meeting venues.
