Domestic room loop amplifiers

A domestic loop amplifier can make a dramatic improvement to the quality of TV sound for people who use hearing aids.

The preferred method of connection for a loop amplifier is via a TV SCART connection - unlike using many headphones sockets using a SCART connection will not cut off the normal sound for others in the room. Alternatively a microphone may be attached close to the TV or HI-fi speaker.

Some loops have a microphone priority feature - this is a nice feature that allows a microphone, placed near a telelephone or door bell, to override the sound from the TV and alert the loop user to the sound.

All are suitable for room sizes up to 6 x 6m (19 x 19ft).
