Phonak Roger On Microphone Transmitter

Roger On Transmitter

Roger On is a microphone dedicated for all conversations that occur in background noise and over distance for use by hearing aid users together with an appropriate Roger receiver. With its ability to distinguish the direction of incoming speech users have the flexibility to focus on the conversations that truly matter at work, in lectures and during social activities.

The Roger On offers a choice of microphone pick-up characteristics which can be controlled using the APP

There are five main ways of using your Roger On
On a table: Place Roger On in the centre of the table and hear the people sitting around it.
Pointing: Hold Roger On in the direction of the person you want to hear.
Presenter: Clip or hang Roger On near the mouth of a distant talker and hear them better.
TV/Multimedia: Stream the sound from your TV or another audio source directly into your ears.
Headset mode: Connect to your computer with a USB lead to make Teams, Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, gaming or software-based telephone calls.

Up to 10 Roger Ons can be used in a network for group use.

With the Roger On Sphere
Four core technologies work together in real time to analyse the environment, focus on the talker, reduce competing noise, and automatically adjust volume so speech stays above background noise.

Directional focus with Multibeam
Multibeam technology detects and prioritizes the sound source with the highest SNR, capturing the spatial information that matters most.

Real-time speech-noise separation with always-on Sphere technology
The multibeam-filtered signal is further processed by the on-board deep neural network (DNN) to separate speech from noise in real time. This always-on Sphere technology delivers up to 8 hours of continuous noise suppression, supporting extended use in challenging environments.

Enhanced compression strategy with natural voice processing
A new approach to our compression systems allows us to preserve the dynamic nature of speech that voices are heard with higher fidelity.

Adaptive gain behaviour to keep speech above noise
Phonak's patented, adaptive gain behaviour with proven clinical benefits, masters the signal to dynamically adjusts the volume of the Roger On Sphere to keep voices above the noise floor.
