The Geemarc Bluehook inductive Bluetooth headset is a neat, stylish and professional handsfree solution for hearing aid wearers with a 'T' setting .

The Geemarc Bluehook enables hearing aid users to avoid the interference from the mobile phone by removing the phone to “safe” distance from the hearing aid. The Bluehook clip has a built in microphone and will pick up your voice, when attached to your clothes - ideally a shirt pocket.

The Geemarc Bluehook is a simple to use solution that makes Bluetooth easily accessible to hearing aid wearers. The Bluehook is an inductive hands-free device that sends the sound from the mobile phone to the hearing aid wearer via their telecoil, providing the user with clear communication via mobile phone.

Operation is simple ; there is a single multi-function button to answer and end a call. Simply place the hook over your ear, next to your BTE hearing aid, turn on the device, activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone, and switch your hearing aids to 'T'. Easy!

The Bluehook has an integral rechargeable battery. It comes supplied with a USB charging cable, AC 13A UK mains plug adaptor and a car charger adaptor, making it fully flexible for charging both at home from the mains, from a computer, and while out and about in the car.

Like many of my hearing aid and cochlear implant user friends I have had difficulty in hearing my mobile phone out of doors and mainly used it for talking rather than listening. I could only hear the mobile clearly in ideal listening conditions and didn’t make it widely known that I had one. Now due to my wife’s ill health I have to use it more and also have to fully understand what is being said. With the help of a friend from our local resource centre I looked at the Connevans web site and have now purchased a Geemarc CL BlueHook which is compatible with my Bluetooth mobile phone (most mobiles are Bluetooth compatible these days and not very expensive). This is now proving very effective and has largely solved my mobile phone hearing problem. The CL Bluehook which is clipped below your chin to your shirt front or blouse is connected to a ear hook loop which fits behind your hearing aid or voice processor via a 22 inch wire. I take the wire around my neck and use the integral clip attachment to fix it to my shirt front. The CL Bluehook is quite small and simple to operate with a push button on the top to switch the system on and to receive and finish calls. There are also buttons on either side to increase or decrease the volume.Your mobile needs to be Bluetooth compatible and there is a well described set up procedure to pair your phone with the CL Bluehook.I have found the system very good as I can hear the call through the loop, (making sure the aid is set to “T” or “MT”) without taking my cycle helmet off. The microphone is also situated on the CL Bluehook so I can speak into it by just loosening my coat top button and the mobile is left in my back pocket until I need to dial an out going call.It works for me although I appreciate everyone has a different form of hear loss.
