In our view the Geemarc CL200+ is a measurable improvement on the already successful CL200. It's level of amplification is greatly increased and the hands free speakerphone facility is a useful, popular feature. It is, as far as we know the loudest corded amplified phone currently on the market.

The Geemarc CL200+ is designed to help those with a high frequency hearing loss, a problem affecting up to 95% of hearing impaired people. Those with high-frequency hearing loss cant hear sounds like st and ch, so words like stair and chair sound like air. Just increasing the volume doesnt always help because it amplifies all frequencies. The Geemarc CL200+ telephone features a built-in sound equalizer that selectively increases the volume of high or low frequency sounds. This equaliser should help those with a high-frequency hearing loss.

Compared to the CL100 the CL200+ has a brighter strobe, a louder ring and the added features of an optional bed vibrator and an optional bone conduction handset. The CL200+ requires mains power. The CL200+ is our top of the range domestic model with excellent performance and some good features specifically for deaf people.

The CL200+ has a monitor speaker to allow 'on hook' dialing, a useful facility for those with limited dexterity, and the handset need not be picked up until the call is answered. The CL200+ has improved upon this feature of the original CL200 and now features a good speakerphone facility to allow for handsfree two-way conversation. This is often a popular feature with deaf people.

Mains power, 230V ac 50Hz is required for this telephone. UK plug.
